     Konst     Vandalism

Concept

Denim as recognised work clothes formerly has, at times, shown different expressions as fashion items to the people. Equally, a group of plumbing, usually unnoticed, shows completely different expressions under the name of “Nature Factory”. The complex plumbing, trailing by the wall in all directions will cover all over the space. It is like a tree grown over a long time. An atmosphere like a natural arbor is created in the space covered with artificial plumbing.

The idea and concept makes so much sense when you start thinking about the clients products, history and goals.
Our everyday thinking is subconsciously about what modern living cost the nature in different ways. When I see old pipes, I´m reminded of non reused water and grey water that is transported within them... and I´m admiring the people thats working with this in their everyday job! We often forget what makes our daily needs working - the use of pipes is one of them.

Thanks to good design, a good concept and an incredible inspiring way to create a sculpture within a space - once again simple ideas creates more successful design.

By:           TING, London
Product:  Tiles - made of vintage leather belts

In one of my earlier student project I used the same main idea. Although, I re-used bicycle tyres. The idea was to design, not only a sustainable feature wall, but also an interesting texture and creative use of existing materials on site. I got free bicycle tyres from the client for this project. According to the brief I also designed other products’ as well, such as a tables used for products within the retail store, frames and paintings.

Illustrations will be posted soon.

Inghua Ting  is one of my favourite designer. I’ve got the inspiration from TING, a small company who produces luxury and sustainable products. They produces three main collections: a range of luxury leather bags and wallets; home and interior accessories and Ting London; a range of bags made from seat belts.

MILLION DONKEY HOTEL
Project:  Hotel
By:             Feld72 The goal for me when I am traveling is to get inspiration and experiences from different cultures and a greater understanding about the local population. The Million Donkey Hotel gives the visitors everyday luxury while experiencing the nature and local farming/living in the area.

Modern industrial interior design or traditional craftsmanship?

Rural experiences and luxury at the same time? How do we define luxury? Is it high standards of internal use of materials, function of the products and comfort? Or, could it be an experience...
The Million Donkey Hotel give the sense of nature and is simply ingenious interior design for tourists seeking an authentic experience.

The Art Breaks between rough stone walls and using elegant prisms that spread natural sunlight on the walls and the use of modern furnitures is fantastic. The architects who designed the Million Donkey Hotel's task was to create an attractive concept that was inexpensive yet very with high standard. There were approximately 40 volunteers who worked to with this project in 2005. It has attracted the interest of the village and gave the architects, Feld72, attention in design magazines such as Frame.

Client:     Kivik Art ’10
By:          Perta Gipp

“This year Kivik Art Centre presents a new work that manifests the basic concept of our project: an architect and an artist in collaboration. It is also the first time that both are women and we can present a Swedish participants. Architect Petra Gipp has created a Refugium, a refuge in the forest of solid wood and concrete. An architectural sculpture that doubles as a small cinema, a walk-in-cinema" with a few seats for both a contemplative and an intense experience. The film shown was filmed by Runa Islam in a museum in Washington during her research stay at the Smithsonian Institute. The film called Cabinet of Prototypes, was commissioned by Kivik Art Centre and form an exquisite combination
with Petra's architecture.” /Kivik Art Centre
